Sub-processors

Last updated: August 18, 2026

A sub-processor is a third party we rely on to help deliver the Floater service, who may process data on our behalf as part of that. We never sell, rent, or trade your data, and we only share what's necessary for each provider to do its job. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect and why.

Current sub-processors

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Purpose: Cloud hosting - runs the application (AWS Lambda) and stores all workspace, rotation, and user data (Amazon DynamoDB).

Location: eu-west-1 (Ireland).

Lemon Squeezy (a Stripe company)

Purpose: Payment processing and subscription billing, as our merchant of record. Handles your payment details directly - we never see or store your card information.

See Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for how they process data.

Google Workspace

Purpose: Delivers a single transactional email - a heads-up that uninstalling Slack doesn't cancel your subscription - sent only to workspaces that uninstall while still on a paid, active plan.

See Google's Privacy Policy for how they process data.

Slack

Purpose: Floater is a Slack app - all rotation notifications, Home tab content, and slash commands are delivered through Slack's own API and infrastructure.

Changes to this list

If we add or remove a sub-processor, we'll update this page. For material changes affecting how your data is processed, contact dataprotection@pelicanapps.com with any questions.
